Joy Montgomery is a residential interior designer with over seven years of experience creating beautiful, functional homes. She studied Visual Communications at FIDM in Los Angeles, where her lifelong passion for design took formal shape.

In the next decade following college, Joy gained a wealth of experience in luxury retail, hospitality, merchandising, procurement, and photo editing with companies such as The Beverly Hills Hotel, Pixi Beauty, and Getty Images. 

 

After relocating to Albuquerque in 2020, Joy built her own clientele and strong community connections. In 2021, she partnered with Sandy Schargel Interiors, a firm recognized as Best in City and Best of Houzz for over a decade.

 

Through Joy Montgomery Interiors, Joy specializes in personalized residential design, while also bringing experience in select commercial projects, including offices and hair salons. Her collaborative, intuitive approach is rooted in a deep appreciation for the emotional impact of thoughtfully designed spaces. By staying current with design trends and technology, she delivers fresh, thoughtful solutions tailored to each client.
